CHaRM delivers the CIPD accredited Certificate in Human Resources to help build capability within the HR profession as well as with managers of people who have an interest in HR, and those who have HR responsibilities or work in HR in a support capacity. Uniquely, CHaRM uses real life practical examples to demonstrate principles and techniques taught on the course. CHaRM offers a high level of tutor input and the networking to develop learning relationships with other professionals. We have never yet had a student leave a programme and all our students have achieved either an Award or a Certificate depending upon their individual needs.

Our next Certificate in HR Practice will begin on 8 May 2019 and includes the following modules::

  • Understanding Organisations and the role of Human Resources
  • Recording, analysing and using Human Resources information
  • Supporting good practice in Managing Employee Relations
  • Resourcing Talent
  • Developing yourself as an effective Human Resource practitioner
  • Supporting good practice in Performance and Reward Management.

CHaRM offers a high level of tutor input and the networking to develop learning relationships with other professionals. At a recent standards assessment by the CIPD, the feedback received was that we have a high level of resources and support to offer students, both in terms of tutor support and practical resources, better in fact than many academic institutions.

The Certificate is delivered over a mixture of individual days and blocks of two days per month, thus limiting the amount of time you need to spend away from work. The fee for the Certificate is £2,394.00. Payment plans can be arranged for those who are self-funding. There is a requirement that you join the CIPD as a student member to complete the Certificate. The membership fee with the CIPD is £130.00.

The programme starts with a short induction which is delivered via webinar on 8 May 2019. The next day is a full day of learning, which will take place in our training room. Before the course begins a full diagnostic interview will be undertaken with you to ensure that you can be supported in whatever way you need. Tutorials are provided during the course, both on a one-to-one basis and in groups, where any problems or difficulties you are experiencing with workload or assessments can be addressed and any support required can be put in place.
