The CHaRM Management Driving Licence - Learn While You Work

The CHaRM Management Driving Licence is a series of flexible learning experiences that give participants a working knowledge of management within their area of responsibility. You wouldn't let an employee drive a Company car without a licence, so why let your managers loose on your most important asset (your staff) without the equivalent licence in management?

A total of five topics must be experienced in order to receive the Award, which includes one mandatory full-day workshop on Employment Law. Participants can choose whichever of the topics most suit their personal development needs for the remaining four experiences.

  • Managing Discipline and Grievance
  • Managing Employee Performance
  • Conducting Effective Appraisals
  • Employment Law for Line Managers - mandatory (one day). Our next workshop is on 1 March 2017.

  • Introduction to Coaching
  • Effective Meeting Management
  • Managing Your Time
  • Delegating for Results
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Handling Conflict
  • Managing Projects
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making.

Initial knowledge/learning is provided via webinar and participants then take their learning and apply it in the workplace with on-going support and coaching from their tutor. A final face-to-face discussion session then concludes the learning for each participant. Learning is at the participant's own pace.
