People Management Programmes for Line Managers

Using CHaRM's expertise in Human Resource Management we deliver a number of People Management Programmes to develop the skills of line managers at all levels. Uniquely, we use real life practical examples to demonstrate principles and techniques taught on the course. CHaRM offers a high level of tutor input and the networking to develop learning relationships with other professionals. We work with small groups on each course to enable delegates to raise any people management issues they are currently facing and we provide support to address those issues when they return to work.

Practical Employment Law for Line Managers

This one-day interactive workshop is designed to give those who directly manage people, knowledge of the raft of legislation that governs employment. Using quizzes and real-life case studies, the workshop covers all the essential elements of the law within which managers need to operate. Previous participant feedback includes:

Interview Skills

This one-day interactive workshop is designed to give managers the skills and knowledge to effectively conduct a range of interviews. It covers all types of interviews from a grievance to a disciplinary or dismissal interview, recruitment and selection interviews, and investigation/fact finding interviews such as H&S investigations and any other interview where the facts of the situation need to be clearly determined before any action is taken or a decision made.
